Cialis Review, Experience With Generic Cialis 20mg, 10mg, 2.5mg

2018-08-22

If you think that being a 53-year-old man with both erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia means that your life is plain miserable, you're wrong. Well, I guess it would have been a nightmare just a few decades ago when there was no easy medical treatment for the former of the two conditions mentioned above and taking care of the latter one was no walk in the park either. I guess that I should get down on my knees right now and praise the achievements of pharmacology but… I'll go for a less dramatic way of doing that and post this review of Cialis here instead.

I started noticing the first signs of erectile dysfunction in my early forties, which was probably a bit too early but... Well, poor me. It wasn't full-blown impotence – I'd still get hard for sex most of the time, but my erection would go kinda softish in the middle of the act, which wasn't too cool. I decided not to wait until it got too bad and went straight to my doctor. Long story short, it took him a bunch of blood tests and one (very embarrassing) examination to finally give me that prescription. We decided to settle on Cialis because a) it gives a longer-lasting effect, b) my doctor thought it would work better for me, based on some figures he saw in my blood test results or something. Or maybe Eli Lilly's medical sales representative working with Dr. Cooper is just cuter. :) Either way, I don't blame him for that choice, since Cialis turned out to be such a babe…

I started off with the 10mg pills and – this is probably going to make this review a super-boring one but whatever – they worked exactly as planned. Having 36 hours (maybe even a bit longer) at your fullest disposal after popping just one little pill felt awesome. I wasn't even timing stuff that carefully – I'd usually take the pill in the evening twice a week and enjoy great spontaneous sex when I wanted it. And no, I didn't develop awkward boners for no reason – I know that some guys write about it a lot on the Internet – how difficult it is to make a sudden hard-on go away if you're not anticipating sex and yadda-yadda. My experience with Cialis was different – I'd just get boners when I was VERY horny and almost ready for action, usually after or during some proper foreplay.

Considering the info above, I probably won't say that Cialis can fully recover your sexual performance and libido. I'd still get morning boners every now and then (and yes, they do go away on their own) but I can't remember the last time I got a spontaneous erection out of the blue like I would in my twenties and thirties.
5-6 years into this whole Cialis story I had to switch to the 20mg pills because the 10mg ones were no longer performing that well. I suspect that it happened because I was taking the pills like all the time, 2-3 times a week usually, even when I wasn't expecting sex, so my body developed tolerance or something… My doctor, on the other hand, says it's not possible but so far he didn't come up with any reasonable explanation of his own as to why we had to adjust the dosage. If I could go back in time, I'd probably treat my regimen more seriously and take Cialis only when I needed it. 20mg pills were fine though, except for the fact that they would give me mild stomach aches. Nothing too serious but not that cool either.

Anyway, last year I started experiencing some urinary symptoms, which pointed at BPH. It runs in the family, so I wasn't really that surprised when I started waking up at night because I had to hit the boy's room. Plus, there was that constant feeling that I didn't finish urinating – I'd wait and wait and nothing would come out. That felt pretty bad, so I went to a urologist, got tested again and he said he'd have to switch me to daily Cialis.

We started with 2.5mg pills and it took about a month for my BPH to get better. My sex life was real bad during that time though, the limpies returned and I could barely come. Needless to say, my SO wasn't happy with my performance either. I asked the doc if there was something we could do about it and he switched me to 5mg pills once daily. Another dosage increase, yay! Anyway, it worked, so now I'm back on track – the sex is good, and I don't have to go to the bathroom every 15 minutes like an old man. No side effects either, so I guess the daily regimen is better for the tummy.

About the generics – I tried Tadacip on a couple of occasions when I was still on the as-needed 20mg pills and it worked great. I borrowed these from a friend who's buying his pills online from India. In fact, I'd probably switch to the generic pills if they were available in the States – the price is obviously much better, and the effect is more or less the same. However, I don't quite like the whole Internet shopping thing, especially when it comes to drugs, so I decided to switch with the good old branded pills. Don't know, maybe I will make the switch when the generics become legally available here, why not.

I do realize that my experience is somewhat limited because I've been on Cialis ever since my problems started and never tried Levitra, Viagra or Stendra. Maybe these would work even better but I'm a really lazy person, so I just didn't care that much :) Everyone is different though, so you may be better off with good old V or Levitra, or that new 2nd generation wonder pill… To each his own, I guess. I'm fine with Cialis and I really hope that it will keep me going for another couple of decades at least.
